Conversion Rate Optimization: What It’s All About

It's rewarding to see the fruits of your labor. Seeing that finally, the keywords you’ve worked towards have finally taken you to the first page of the search engine results and that your website’s traffic is increasing day by day. Hold your horses. It isn’t yet the time to feel victorious. Yes, the number of visitors to your website is increasing but what are they doing on your web site?

Do you know what your site users are doing on your site? In this business I've seen sites that 99% of all their traffic leave with in less than 30 seconds and we have turned those sites around and now are retaining 90% of their traffic and turn into repeat traffic. It is not a surprise to know that around seventy percent of online shoppers leave their carts even before they hit the checkout button.
Effective PPC and SEO would be useless if you can’t keep your visitors hooked into your site. That’s why, you need CRO or, Conversion Rate Optimization to learn your audience and give them what they want or better yet direct them on what you want them to do.

What is CRO?

Conversion Rate Optimization is the process of studying your visitors’ browsing behaviors in order to determine where your sites hangups are, what is keeping the attention of your users and how to use that information to turn your traffic in to paying customers.

Your Audience: What Are They Like?

Research matters when it comes to a booming CRO. By examining the data collected through your Web analytics program, you’ll be able to determine the kinds of visitors who check on your website. By learning about who visits your site, you will be able to create a website that people find appealing, usable and worth visiting again.
Once you known what your visitors are like, goal setting comes in to play. What do you want them to do while they are on your site? Do you want them to buy products or a fetured Item you want to blow out stock on. Do you want them to download software? By determining your goals, you will be able to plot strategies that can lead your audience or users down the path you wish. You can also improve the aspects of your website that turns them off and determine which ones that keep them coming.

Conducting Your Test

CRO comes with a very scientific aspect. Collecting and analysis of data are crucial steps in order to carry out accurate testing and produce credible results. A/B Split Testing or Multivariate Testing are the two types of CRO testing that you can utilize in order to achieve results that are backed up with sturdy basis and foundation. A/B Split testing allows makes you create multiple versions of a particular page and check which one has the most traffic. Multivariate, on the other hand, is more detailed. This test requires you to create not multiple versions of a webpage but, the elements included in the pages of your website. It needs more traffic and thus, more time.
LGS can provide you with CRO packages that can assure you effective results. SEO and PPC are not enough. You’ve got to keep in mind that you need science to back these up.
